New Parks and Nocatee Library Coming Late 2026
Big news for Nocatee! A brand-new park and library are on the way for residents in Ponte Vedra, Fl thanks to funding and approval by the St. Johns County Commissioners. They've given the thumbs up for construction to begin this year on a 49-acre plot donated by the Davis Family and The PARC Group.
The Commissioners recently approved a $123 million plan to build five parks and community centers, and Nocatee's project is part of the package. The Northeast Community Park, costing $43 million, will feature sports fields, courts, a splash pad, picnic areas, walking paths, and even a fishing pond and kayak dock!
But that's not all—there's a full-service library in the works too, serving Nocatee's 32,000 residents. Rick Ray, CEO of The PARC Group, gave a big shoutout to the Commissioners for making it happen, especially thanking Commissioners Christian Whitehurst and Henry Dean for pushing for the library.
Construction kicks off in 2024 and wraps up by 2026. Financing details are still being sorted, but rest assured, no property taxes will be used. Instead, a mix of fees and loans will cover the costs. This investment adds to the $200 million the county has already pumped into parks and rec over five years.
With new businesses and schools popping up, popularity of the lifestyle in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fl and Nocatee keeps soaring. It's no wonder Niche named Nocatee Florida's top suburb for families four years in a row! Get ready for more fun and community vibes in Nocatee!
